The short answer

Apartments.com is a strong starting point when you want to browse apartments, houses, photos, amenities, and neighborhoods. It offers saved searches, favorites, and alerts. Kate is designed to work from a message: you say what you need, and she replies with available homes that fit, from owners who listed with her brokerage and, once connected, the MLS.

02

What Apartments.com does well

The marketplace offers detailed property pages, maps, saved searches, alerts, and tools to contact or apply for some rentals. It also offers natural-language search. Those tools are useful when you want to research a building or compare a range of options yourself.

03

What Kate is meant to add

The planned difference is an end-to-end rental workflow in WhatsApp: matching, a showing, an application sent as photos, the owner’s screening request, and the lease e-signature. Tell Kate your needs in a WhatsApp conversation and she replies with available homes that fit, so the whole rental can stay in one conversation from first message to signed lease.

04

When to use both

Use Apartments.com to inspect a listing, verify details, and contact a property. Kate’s planned service then continues through showings, applications, the owner’s screening request, and lease e-signatures. Availability, pricing, fees, and application rules should always be checked on the current original listing.
